The day Good became Bad...

Life makes each of us feel special - some of us are naive enough to believe that we are,
We toil believing we do 'good work' and deserve praise for it,
But realise, what counts is making other people believe and say 'you are doing a good job!',
So why do I believe that 'good' does not cut it,
When did my cynical self equate 'Good' to 'Mediocre' and 'Mediocrity' to Bad...
It is a question I send out into the deep abyss ... not waiting for an answer...
